Ogal awesome at Manitoba Sectional Figure Skating Championship

Callie Ogal had an outstanding performance at the Manitoba Sectional Figure Skating Championship on Nov. 6 in Virden. Ogal won the Pre-Juvenile U11 Sectional Championship after skating tremendously well to score 21.87 points. It was the best score ever at her level in Manitoba. She fi nished ahead of Ava Price (17.96), Mabel Graetz (16.86) and Amelia Wytinck (10.99). “I’m very proud of myself for winning the gold medal and I’m really excited,” said Ogal last Sunday, noting her skate was two minutes and 40 seconds long. “I skated such a clean program.” This was Ogal’s first time competing at the Sectionals. She was supposed to go last year but couldn’t due to COVID. “I was a little nervous but I was also very excited,” said the 11 year old, who lives in Lockport.
